ENP-China Webinar – Cécile Armand
Cécile Armand is a postdoctoral research fellow in the ENP-China Project (ERC Advanced grant). She received her Ph.D. in 2017 at Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon and was affiliated with the DH-Asia Program at Stanford University (2017-18). She studied the history of advertising in Shanghai in the first half of the 20th century, through the lens of spatial history. Her current topics of research include elites, the press and public opinion, experts and technocracy, and “Uncle Sam in China” (American presence and americanization in China).
